Head of Human Resources, South Asia based in Bangalore.
This position will report primarily to the Regional Head of Human Resources, Asia and locally to Head, South Asia.

The incumbent will be responsible for directing and managing the implementation of HR strategies, policies and programmes to support the ongoing business requirements for the Operations Centre in Bangalore which include Data Operations, Global Service Centre and Editorial and supporting the Global Sales and Service Operation business and other business entities in the rest of South Asia.

Job Scope
The role will cover India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan providing support to a matrix business environment. Total staff strength in South Asia is expected to grow to 1600 staff by end 2006.

Ensure the effective management of HR activities and to manage a team of 2 HR staff based in the Mumbai office and a team of 5 HR staff and numerous HR contractors in Bangalore and Mumbai.
