Research Analysts -Economic - Bangalore

The following are the positions in research ( Credit, Economic and Quantitative) that we are working for the BPO of an IT Giant. These positions are to be based in Bangalore. Cost and present location is not a constraint. Please mention the position applied for in the subject. There are a number of entry level research positions available for this year graduates, would appreciate if you could pass on the information to them as well.

Economics Team
1.Senior Economist
Reporting to Department Head of Economics
Responsibilities
Senior Economist responsible for a specific region or regions.
Would manage a small team of economists.
Responsibility for ensuring SLA’s are met if not exceeded.
Develop training programmes for more junior staff.
Coach and train junior staff.
Conduct studies that evaluate data on economic conditions.
Identifies and evaluates economic trends and their impact on the market.
Formulates forecasts of future economic developments.
Prepares analytical reports for internal/external distribution.

Required Educational Background
PhD or Masters in Economics or Finance from a top tier Academic Institution is essential
Could be an IIM/MBA

Required Experience & Skills
At least 5 years relevant experience.
Proven management experience.
Ability to organise team deadlines to ensure SLA’s are met.
Experience of mentoring and training more junior team members.
Relationship building skills.
Solid experience of identifying and evaluating economic trends.


2.Junior Economist
Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting studies that evaluate data on economic conditions.
Identifies and evaluates economic trends and their impact on the market.
Formulates forecasts of future economic developments.
Prepares analytical reports for internal and external distribution.

Required Education
IIM/MBA essential
PhD or Masters in Economics or Finance from a top tier Academic Institution is desirable.

Required Experience/Skills
At least 2-5 years relevant experience.
Strong analytical skills.
Attention to detail.
Highly numerate.
Commercially and Business aware.
Strong written skills.


3.Graduate Economist (to include Post-Grads)
Responsibilities
Assists senior and junior economists with close supervision.
Developing techniques and skills needed for economic analysis and forecasting.
Balance sheet analysis.
Collecting data and working on preliminary analysis.
Manipulate Data as and when required.

Required Education
Grade 1
IIM (A,B,C), MBA (from a top International School), PhD from a top academic institution

Grade 2
IIM (excluding A, B & C), MBA, CA, IIT

Grade 3
MA/Bachelor in Economics or Finance

Required Skills/Experience
Work experience is not essential although may have up to 2 years experience.
Strong written skills.
Data manipulation skills.
Attention to detail
Highly numerate
Commercially aware
