97/98 batch profiles- HR/IR - Chandigarh

Our client is a wholly owned subsidiary of a European conglomerate in the health sector having captured almost 70% market share in India. Total turnover of the Company is INR 500 crores and total manpower is around 500. Their manufacturing facilities is situated at Chandigarh.

Position : Manager Human Resources
Education : Masters in PMIR from a reputed institute in India
Experience desired : 6-7 years

Position profile : This position will be based out of the manufacturing setup near Chandigarh and reports in to the Head Human Resources who will, in due course of time will move to the corporate office in Delhi.

The job entails the following
1.. Assist the Head HR in the HR interventions such as the Triple P projects, OD initiatives such as Hay Job Evaluation methodology HR balance scorecard implementation at the plant level. And to provide inputs for the further development of the policies and procedures in Human Resources. (99% of the current manpower is based in the plant)
2.. The day to day administration of the plant and all welfare activities such as Canteen,Transport Plant discipline and Security
3.. All Training at the plant level with the assistance of the other HR team members
4.. To represent HR and to actively participate in all the forums such as the plant coordination forum and SHE
5.. Constant work with the line management to build and nurture good employee relations
6.. All liaison activity with the PF, factories inspectorate etc.
7.. To assist in all legal matters pertaining to the bargainable and the non bargainable employees
8.. To act as a change agent and to actively participate in the institutionalization of the DSM core values in the company
9.. To constant work on the principles of profitability and value based leadership.

The candidate must possess good communication skills and the ability to think on his feet.
Must have a good EQ and should be strong enough to put forth his views.
Since the job involves a good deal of responsibility and almost an independent charge :
The candidate must have enough resilience to sustain him through all the day to day problems.
This is a HR generalist role and the co. believes that HR must partner with the business and therefore the candidate will not be restricted to perform only the IR activities.
The plant has no a union and does not plan to have one as they believe in proactive resolution of grievances.
The ideal candidate would be aged 27-32 married and willing to move to Chandigarh for next 3 yrs.
