Population Services International (PSI) is a leading international NGO implementing several global projects in the area of public health. In India, PSI is working on several HIV prevention initiatives under a variety of grants. (www.psi.org)

PSI wishes to recruit a State Director for their AP operations to handle key responsibilities related to the setting up a large (1300+ member) health care network of private sector doctors, and for managing distribution of socially marketed products, specifically, an ethical drug therapy, ACT-1, for the treatment of certain sexually transmitted infections.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop state-level plans in accordance with overall project strategy
- Lead the recruitment, orientation and support of staff to undertake all aspects of the program within the state
- Lead the implementation of network creation and support and associated ACT-1 kit sales activities, delegating and supporting appropriately
- Oversee monitoring and evaluation of project effectiveness including collection and reporting of data
- Accountable for the prudent management of all administrative and financial activities in accordance with PSI policies and procedures (multi-million US dollar budgets)
- Lead state-level donor and government advocacy relationships and reporting and provide regular updates to senior PSI/donor team
- Identify and undertake mutually-beneficial collaborative relationships with other implementing partners in the state, especially those under the Avahan program (the India AIDS Initiative funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation).
- Provide regular, concise reporting on program activities
- Contribute to PSI’s overall strategy as a member of PSI’s Executive Committee
- Identify and share lessons within and without PSI India

Experience
5-8 years of management experience.
Marketing, management, project analysis, program design and implementation experience is crucial.
Experience in a franchising/retail/FMCG/Pharma setting is preferred.
A strong commitment towards working for a social cause, particularly HIV/AIDS, is required.

Salary : Commensurate with experience but would be limited by social sector scales.
