POSITION DESCRIPTION:

At a level of Director, the role will drive the entire electronic commerce end of the business as an independent profit centre, leading a team of around 35 people. Will be completely responsible for top line and bottom line. Provide creative thinking, marketing input, competitive analysis, quantitative analysis, business decision and strategic insight. Responsible for customer acquisition and experience, alliances content, sales, branding, new product development, retention, loyalty. Execute marketing plans and alliances to drive growth. Manage market research to develop consumer insights that help form product development and marketing strategies/tactics. Serve as the voice of the consumer and advocate for the brand inside the e-commerce organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a focussed professional to demonstrate original thinking, lead a business, in a performance driven company with really ambitious plans and an empowering working environment.

HIRING PROFILE:

Must be a tech savvy MBA from a leading Business School like the IIMs/XLRI/ FMS etc. (engineering background preferable) with a proven track record in managing profit centres in FMCG/durable/ telecom/retail financial services industry, with extensive understanding of all aspects of the business, including technology.
Around 10 years marketing and sales experience, with at least 3-5 years classical marketing experience with a leading branded goods/services company. Consumer internet company experience is desirable. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a high result orientation. Must have high energy, along with influencing and impacting skills. Must be entrepreneurial, hands on and possess a proactive approach. Should be able to deal with change, both in the international and domestic arena.
