THE COMPANY : A large Healthcare MNC with global operations. The Indian subsidiary has a Manufacturing base as well as a Sales & Marketing set-up.
THE POSITION : Business Development - Asia Pacific. Based in Delhi.
THE ROLE : Identify, develop and implement new business opportunities in the current and future portfolio with view to maximize the pipeline from a country/regional perspective. Work with Regional VP to develop and implement Asia Pacific strategy at country and regional basis Lead more complex business development opportunities through the deal & integration phase. Manage the research and analysis of the more complex business opportunities across several business units and/or product lines and assess potential markets. Work with designated business units to identify targets and develop growth strategies.
Business Development includes mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, licensing, joint ventures, distribution agreements, and alliances.
THE PERSON : A PGDM with a Science / Technical background with 10-12 years of work experience including a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Essential skills required are excellent quantitative and qualitative assessment skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to constructively challenge various aspects of the deal; a strategic orientation and ability to translate broad strategic decisions into firm, detailed financial implications; solid business acumen; knowledge of external healthcare business environment along with an understanding of competitive history and ability to forecast potential next moves; solid technology skills.
