Human Resources Manager - Technology Firm - Bangalore

This is an exciting role for a human resources manager, who will be
responsible for building a "Silicon Valley" culture in this company in
Bangalore. The company is a Enterprise Software start-up, part of a $100
Million publishing major, headquartered in UK. The Indian operations
have been launched in 2004, It aims to deliver a wide range of service
from Bangalore for UK and US based clients. The company will be
building an IT/web development team of senior and junior staff and a BPO
team to offer order processing and customer service to the publishing
industry worldwide. The HR Manager will provide support to the service
managers to help recruit, train and retain excellent staff teams.

Reports to: Director in charge

Job function

To lead the hiring process for the staff teams
Build good relationships with hiring agencies
Develop job ads and supporting documentation to attract top quality
recruits Interaction with senior managers to gain an understanding of
the various requirements for staff Conduct preliminary interviews as
required Undertake campus recruitment events

To assist managers with ensuring a proactive approach to staff
development with the aim of achieving high quality staff and low
attrition rates Ensure comprehensive training plans for all levels of
staff Advise on and monitor a performance development process Advise on
appropriate compensation packages and keep up to date with what is
happening within each sector

To provide day to day support to staff on personnel issues

Person specification

Must have skills/expertise:

- 3-5 years HR experience
- Graduate/Post Graduate with MBA or PG Diploma in Personnel
Management/Industrial relations
- Experience of working in the IT sector
- Must have handled recruitment at all levels
- Excellent communication skills

Desirable skills/expertise:
- Experience of devising and implementing training programmes
- Understanding of a variety of appraisal schemes
