In a consulting environment meet with clients to gather requirements.
Design, develop and implement a solution compromising of hardware,
operating system and database to meet customer needs for running SAP
applications including the interfacing of SAP with other products.
Install, configure and customize SAP functions to provide a platform for
large enterprises business systems. Ongoing support maintenance,
troubleshooting and performance tuning of these SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities:
SAP Skills
Install/Upgrade of SAP R/3 and related components
Implemented SAP Correction and Transport system
SAP client copy, client export and client import
SAP Security implementation & mgmt, Users authorization and profile
maintenance
SAP CCMS, Operation mode, Background jobs and printing and spool
management
SAP OSS logons and X.25 connection support
Apply patches/notes and hot packages
Setting up operation modes

Database Skills specific to SAP
Database backup and recovery
Tablespace monitoring
Adding table extents and enlarging tablespaces
Reorganizing tables and tablespaces
Database export and import
Database tuning
Database administration
Upgrading Database software

Operating System Skills
Modified Unix Kernel
Setup and prepare the OS system disk and file systems
System backups and monitoring disk usage
Configured swap space
Install Unix Operating System
Maintain OS system security access and protect critical system files
Monitor/control system activities (Process management) and OS fine-
tuning Develop and maintain necessary scripts to automate periodic
system tasks
Create logical volumes and volume groups
