Regional Sales Manager - Top Multinational IT Company

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Reports to: National Sales Manager

Job Profile:
To Manage the Sales Activity of in India


Responsibilities Include:

* Develop Sales and Marketing plans across India that are in line
with the Marketing teams Brand and product Strategies.
* Analyze monthly sales to ensure achievement of monthly budget
targets and identify future sales opportunities.
* Develop plans to achieve revenue targets, profitability and
market share objectives. Implement those plans and maintain sales and marketing activity.
* Working with 3rd party publishers to maximize sales of 3rd party
titles so as to promote sales of the Console.
* Work with the retail Services manager to ensure the Outlet
Coverage Sales Team is working towards congruent goals and Ensure Maximization of Resource at Retail
* This primary responsibility for the role is for the successful
achievement of the Xbox Sales Targets in each FY in the region under direct control. Further the role is responsible for ensuring the Sales team contributes towards the continued growth of the Market Share of the console business in India. Secondary to this is representing E&D
* The Role is key to the ongoing success of Xbox worldwide as
there is tremendous market by market focus on the business from which analyst draw conclusions on the long term viability of the world wide business.
* The Role is integral to the product sales strategy within the
Xbox business on the current generation and the next generation platforms. Further it is integral to the ongoing success of the Outlet Coverage Program and the In-store Merchandising Program.
* This is not a people management role. Though it will involve
working closely with the outlet coverage team in the region under direct control and ensuring that these resources are aligned to the overall objectives of the business and ensure maximization of resources at retail.
* The Role will be required to Integrate best practices and
learning from and to the broader E&D team. The role will have to work closely with Product Management to ensure excellent execution of titles at retail. Further the role will work with the National Sales Manager to ensure the compatibility of the Sales Teams Retail strategies with that of the Marketing teams. The role will work closely with distribution to effect adequate inventory management throughout the channel. Finally the role will be dependant upon the successful execution of the Merchandising strategy at retail as such the relationship between the role and the Retail Services Manager will be important.
* This role with have the responsibility of achieving the Sales
Target for FY07 in the region under direct control.

Candidate Profile:

8 - 10 years of related experience
Experience in managing a sales team with managed partner relationships. Strong experience in managing Sales people in FMCG environment Bachelor's Degree/ Master's Degree Strong knowledge of India's Retail Channel, Good working relationships with the main players in the India's Retail Channel for Fast Moving Consumer Electronics. Good appreciation of the Inventory models, reporting infrastructure and business methodologies of each of the Major Retail Partners in the business.
