*Role Descriptions*
Grail Research invites self-motivated and intellectually driven individuals who meet our requirements below, to apply for the following vacancies at its India (Gurgaon/Delhi) office:

*Position* Analyst
*Role*
Analysts conduct business and market research as mandated by the client on a project or for business development initiatives. Typical projects will involve gathering, analyzing, synthesizing and presenting information and data using structured methodologies and frameworks. Such projects may vary in duration from one to several weeks.

*Primary Responsibilities*
• Design analysis plan and most effective search strategies. Gather required information and filter relevant themes using a broad set of tools (e.g., subscription databases, the Internet, print media, company representatives, external research organizations, telephonic interviews with industry experts, etc). Utilize both secondary and primary (telephonic) research sources and techniques
• Organize, analyze, synthesize and/or summarize data and information using appropriate analytical tools. Conduct quantitative (e.g., statistical analysis, financial data analysis, etc) and qualitative analysis (in-depth interviews, etc) as necessary
• Communicate research results through the creation of structured end-products (memos, spreadsheets, reports, presentations, etc.)
• Complete ad hoc research, knowledge building and business development projects as necessary

*Desired Characteristics*

• Strong verbal and oral communication skills

*Experience*
• 0-2 years in professional business environment
• Preferred industry (financial services, pharma, biotech)

*Position* Senior Analyst

*Role*
A senior analyst will lead and manage the research project and team. This role would involve ownership of the intellectual agenda/content on the project. As a senior member of the research group, this position will provide day-to-day direction to analysts engaged on one or more projects. This position is also responsible for interacting with clients as required to deliver the research output.

*Primary Responsibilities*
• Assist clients and/or other research delivery team members in articulating and refining research requests and projects
• Lead research projects ensuring appropriate workflow planning, resource utilization, and content delivery
• Guide team problem solving, the development of research strategies, the application of analytical techniques and frameworks, and the creation of research end-products (templates as discussed with clients - memos, spreadsheets, reports, presentations, etc.)
• Significant level of client interaction (need not play a proactive role in relationship management, but would play a lead role in client interactions related to subject matter/intellectual agenda)
• Ensure research is completed, including data gathering and analysis, when appropriate
• Lead and/or complete ad hoc research, knowledge building and business development initiatives

*Desired Characteristics*
• Demonstrated project management ability – especially with respect to research delivery

*Experience*
• >2 years in relevant (consulting/KPO/investment banking/equity research) industry and role

*Position* Team Manager

*Role*
A team manager will be the owner of the client relationship for a particular engagement and will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality of service delivery. This position also involves playing a proactive business development role. Will typically supervise 3-4 projects at a time if required.

*Primary Responsibilities*
• Responsible for overall client relationship for a given engagement – this should include approving and monitoring the overall work plan
• Quality check – ensuring output meets expected and contractual standards
• People management – Manage teams and troubleshoot through the delivery process, ensuring quality and timely delivery of key outputs to the client
• Would be expected to travel
• Work closely with the onsite sales force on business development initiatives
• Research product development
• Vendor management, expenses, 3rd party activities

• Demonstrated project management ability
• Prior demonstrated client relationship development and management skills
