Deputy Marketing Director - New Products and Exports Market

Overview of the Organization
Our client is an international consumer products organization headquartered in US with operations in over 70 countries across the globe. It has been making home products for more than a hundred years and the international business of the company represents an estimated 60% of total sales. The firm has been rated several times as one of fortune 10 companies known for the best employee practices . India is a strategic location in the APAC region and the company plans to expand its current portfolio of brands and products in the operations here.

The role is to lead the development of a the New product category. This will entail management of brand strategy/portfolio development, organization of market research, development and execution of advertising and promotional plans to support new product launches.
The role will also entail initiating marketing activities in export markets of Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
The role reports into the Marketing Head for India who in turn reports into Group General Manager - South Asia.

Skills Required:
Business Analysis:
- Analysis and interpretation of market data
- Analysis and interpretation of business performance
- Consolidation of performance into presentations/reports

Consumer Analysis:
- Preparation of research briefs
- Analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data
- Understanding of research methodologies

Business Planning:
- Development of brand/portfolio strategy
- Preparation of marketing plans
- Advertising and promotion budget control

Advertising:
- Agency Management
- Development of strategy
- Copy development and evaluation
- Development of Media strategy

Packaging Design/Promotions/PR:
- Development and execution of strategy

Sales:
- Understanding of trade dynamics

Project Management/New Product Development:
- Management of ideation, development, and commercialization processes
- Development of business proposition
- Cross functional team management

You must be an MBA from a premier institute, with 10-12 years of experience in FMCG. You must have experience in brand planning, budget management and use of continuous market research data. Minimum of three years of Sales experience is essential. Strong analytical, organisational and planning skills are essential, as is a proven track record in project management.
