Designation: Assistant Vice President – Training
Reporting to: Vice President – Human Resources


Purpose: Provide functional leadership for the training function, focusing on effective delivery of various training programs, developing new training and quality initiatives. Spearhead the conceptualization,
design and implementation of standardized training programs. Direct the team to ensure high quality training is provided to employees within agreed SLAs and timeliness. Create, mentor and lead an
effective team and create a learning organization. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal clients. Be prepared to innovate and actively seek out-of-the-box solutions to redesign and
strengthen the company's training systems to allow benchmarking.

Experience and skills: An MBA in Human Resources / Behavioral sciences with 8 and 12 years of relevant work experience, of which atleast 5 years in a supervisory role within a training department.
Proven experience of successfully of anchoring and administering large scale training & development initiatives, implementing assessment centers, training tools and techniques, competency-based
development initiatives and hands on experience of conducting technical, soft skills and management development training within a multinational company. Strong content, process and leadership skills to
achieve the objectives set for the department. Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.

FOCUS AREA STRATEGY
Training &
Development
• Establish a contemporary knowledge learning cell and deliver training as an essential tool through various levels in the organization
• Design, implement and measure the effectiveness of the training & development initiatives anchored by the group
• Align Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to business needs and translate the training needs identified into a customized training & development plan
• Marketing the Training Programs internally
• Responsible for end-to-end delivery of the training calendar and ensure the training schedules are designed efficiently to effectively utilize resources
• Design certification processes and procedures and implement effective cross-training programs to improve productivity
• Participate in planning sessions with clients and managers to understand client requirements, monitor customer satisfaction and handle customer requests
• Analyze and assess training data to recommend process improvement measures, resolve issues, concerns and provide feedback by analyzing information
• Provide valuable recommendations based on evaluation tools; and keep abreast of new emerging training technology and methods
• Coordinate with the Talent Enhancement group to implement programs
• Maintain high market intelligence and establish and manage an effective network and useful links in the industry
• Determine training plans and budgets based on the organization staffing plans for the year and frequently review it with the business heads and the sales leads
• Participate in new implementations and plan for unexpected client expansions
