Job Title : Assistant General Manager
Location : Mumbai
Reporting to : General Manager - India
Job Description:
Ø Overall responsibility for managing the deliveries
for specific functions within the Residential Loan
Servicing areas.
Ø Manage and drive the strategic goals of the Company,
specific to the functions assigned.
Ø Continually develop and work on strategic plans and
needs to enhance Customer satisfaction and reduce
operating costs.
Ø Define clear and aggressive goals for the Management
team and their respective teams and drive their
performance appropriately. Effectively provide the
team with the appropriate tools to enable successful
delivery.
Ø Ensure each of the strategic goals set for the
functions are met or exceeded year on year. For this,
work closely and effectively with the teams within
India & abroad, while driving enhanced performance out
of each of the functions
Ø The Company expects its Managers to be strong
process & thought leaders that have an intricate/
in-depth knowledge of the processes they manage.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the companies
systems & processes being managed, is therefore
critical.
Ø Develop/improve structured performance tracking
metrics and tools to monitor key parameters.
Ø Continually identify and develop system and process
improvements to decrease costs and enhance service
levels.
Ø Transition additional functions / positions where
necessary/possible.
Ø Staff retention and motivation.
Ø Motivating staff to exceed key compliance, quality &
efficiency measures.
Ø Create a highly charged/energized and disciplined
culture within the system.
Ø Create appropriate succession planning for each of
the key functions/positions, while mentoring each of
the team members and grooming them for enhanced
positions.
Ø Assist staff in developing appropriate skills
thereby enabling them to take on enhanced and more
complex career opportunities.
Ø Training and enabling – Create well structured and
approved training modules where necessary and ensure
staff receive continual training to meet their job
requirements and enhance their opportunities for
career advancement
Ø Capacity Management: Work closely with the
counterparts in the US in, tracking and maintaining
effective capacity utilization, while dealing with
work volume volatility
Ø Facilitate and promote the companies culture and
quality service standards within the workforce.
Ø Promote a continual improvement culture with the
workforce via training, process and structural changes
while establishing best practices for each of the
functions.
Ø Drive and ensure the team complies with every one of
the Company’s policies and other compliance
parameters.
Ø Effectively track and deliver timely performance
evaluations for the team.
Ø Client relations: Work closely with the Business
Units in ensuring the key drivers and well understood
not only by self but also by the team as a whole,
thereby ensuring delivery.
Qualification/ skills required
Ø Bachelor’s degree with a business/finance focus. MBA
preferred
Ø 12 - 15 years of work experience in operations role
/ management role managed a team not less than 300 subordinates.
Ø Comfortable with technology as an enabler
Ø Strong interpersonal skills.
Ø Comfortable with working in a cross cultural
environment.
Ø Ability to work well under pressure
Ø Ability to deal with change.
Ø Willing to travel frequently.
Ø Excellent client relations skills
Ø Excellent communication skills – verbal & written
Ø Strong computer skills
Ø Proven track in managing multiple functions and
large teams.
Ø Should possess excellent analytical skills
Ø Goal oriented, self starter & energetic
Salary Band : Rs.30 – 34 lakhs pa
