Job Description:
Member of the Business planning, Analysis & Reporting (BAR) unit, a dynamic, high-visibility team responsible for majority of corporate- wide group-level planning, analysis, reporting and presentations for key stakeholders.
As part of the 5 member BAR team, shared responsibilities will include:
· Majority of corporate-wide group-level MIS reporting and analysis, highlighting key items of interest for senior management and providing recommendations / alternatives for appropriate action
· Budgeting, forecasting and long range projections for balance sheet and income statement
· Budgeting and forecasting of operating expenses
· Financial modeling for implementation of new products, structures or compensation programs
· Valuation of portfolio companies and analysis of operating performance and trends therein
· Analysis of performance by business unit and benchmarking progress of key business drivers
· Warehousing and analysis of key financial and business related information in order to determine trends and highlight their implications
· Analysis of competitors performance and trends therein
· Presentations for the Board, shareholders, investors, ratings agencies, and senior management
The right candidate will:
· Automate, to the extent possible, a majority of the rote report generation and analysis process, by leveraging available technology resources
· Fully understand the business environment, and develop and maintain an analytical support platform for strategic decision making
· Develop new analytical schedules and enhance existing schedules on a proactive basis to maximize the quality of input provided to senior management as a decision-making tool
· Have top quartile academic grades and test scores, significant quantitative modeling skills; a grounding in corporate finance.
